Just to note if you are anywhere near the limiter you've already gone past the power zone and are losing potential speed from the next gear anyway so no point going that far...

I've been 125mph, also on a private road of course, and i wasn't in the red zone on the rev counter. So you can get up to some pretty high speeds, without worrying about the rev limiter, providing your in a sensible gear of course! I backed down on that occasion too, as it was quite windy so the car had more to give. It wouldn't be that hard to reach the official top end of 130 i don't think and i've seen an ST, going at least 135mph on a downhill stretch of a motroway. I know they it was going that fast, as i was going about that in another car, so the ST has a lot to give i think.

The will sit at 130-135ish without any problems at all. Just keep an eye on your (rapidly reducing) petrol.
PS. This was done on a stretch of tarmac i had to pay to use, must've been a private road, had a really obscure name......M6Toll????

They do recommend 130kmph and you CAN still be done for driving to fast if they consider you to be reckless or dangerous for the conditions. But more often than not when I'm sitting at 100-110mph I'm still being overtaken. It makes the journey far moe interesting and definitely keeps you alert. Also, if anybody does drive on the autobahn and you plan on going quickly i'd highly recommmend you have your headlights on.

Or alternatively also the Isle of Man, where in national speed limit areas, the limit is unrestricted, although like in Germany you can get done for furious driving if you drive the wrong side of silly.

That is true but germany will be cheaper, parents were going to drive to the isle of man but the ferry was going to be £300+
