Thats correct Rob
Polish to make it shine then wax to protect it.

Thought i'd post this up to save finding it every time someone asks how to clean their car.

Rarely do i even polish now, a decent wax gives a deeper loss shine than any polish

Hmmm... I beg to differ. For me, it's all in the prep; if you spend more time decontaminating and polishing (when using a machine, making sure you finish off correctly) rather than the LSP. Granted, the LSP does help make a deep glossy look, but best results are usually down to prep

I only do an "every stage" once a year, then rest is top up spray wax and couple of Collinite waxes now and again. Defintely a good wax also brings out a deep shine.

The number of times I have to keep looking back at this! Maybe it'll stick one day. Great post.
