I finished work today until 7th January, but ill be home alone all the time with the odd visit to my parents

I'm in work on Xmas eve only for half a day, then got Xmas day/boxing day off, taken Thursday as holiday and back in work Friday.
We never do much at work over Xmas anyway

got Xmas day off and that's it! Working every other night
Then got all of Jan off though

I only have a few days off altogether until I go away but then I have a month off. Working Christmas Day and New Year

My official last day until after New Year is Friday the 21st, and we always get allowed to go a couple of hours early on the final day. In practice, I've already been asked if I can go in on Christams Eve to cover for my ex-supervisor and I'll also have to go in for one other day between Christmas and New Year. It will mean though that I'll get another couple of days leave which may come in handy if I'm sick any time over winter.

I only have 25/26 and 1st off this year, but I'm on job n knock so won't be doing full shifts

It's sort of the other way round for me. Been off since 1st May on Paternity looking after my little girl who will be 1 next week. It's been quality but bad news is I'm back at work on 7th January. Good that I've got all of Xmas off but im not looking forward to going back after nearly 9 months!

Aw that's brilliant though. You've seen her grow up. You don't hear about fathers taking long term paternity much
