There may be an answer to this somewhere already but couldnt c one. Im looking to get pretty much all of my exterior plastics professionally sprayed gloss black. I know every place will be different but anyone know any ball park figures on what I'd expect to pay.

Trying to plan the order I'm doing my mods in so knowing a price would be a big help as I ain't had a chance to get down to the local sprayers.

Wanna get painted:

Upper & lower front grills
Front fog surrounds
Grey plastics around wing mirrors
B pillar plastics
Rear bumper insert & diffuser
Rear reflector surrounds
Rear wiper

Somewhere around £200 probs for that lot. Does sound alot but its fairly fiddly and time consuming to prep!

Wicked mate thanks. That's pretty much what I was expecting. Couple of bits next on list then look to do them in a couple of months.

Was originally thinking about doing it myself. Have had a look on here but the how to hasn't got alot of info so got a few questions.

How do I remove plastics from B pillars and wing mirrors? (think I've seen something on here about removing the other bits)

Any recommendations on primers and paints?

What wet and dry sand papers do I need?

How many coats of primer, paint and laquer?

Sorry for all the questions but wanna make sure I end up with a professional looking finish.

I did everything apart from the pillars didnt dare pull them off because i thought they were going to snap the wing mirrors you have to take the plastic off which is your wing mirror control and there you will see the screws holding the mirror on take them out should just pull off, as for the stuff you need i went to my local paint shop told him what i was doing he gave me everything i needed like plastic primer paint and lacquer, i sanded mine using a very fine wet and dry cant remember exactly what grade, then i cleaned them with alcohol to remove the chemicals and stuff i use to clean my car because i use tyre shine on my black plastics then left them to dry, i did 2 coats of primer 2 coats of colour and 1 good coat of lacquer, i would advise you to not do it while it is cold tho as the plastic goes more brittle unless you dare lol, hope this helps in some way, in all it cost me £60 to spray all

Just backing up the warning of the B Pillars snapping, mine did so make sure you heat them up with a hairdryer or something first for a bit of malleability

Thanks for the advice mate. Might look to get the B pillars and mirror surrounds professionally done cos I like the smooth gloss black look and don't know if I'll be able to achieve that myself.

If you don't want to risk breaking your b pillars you could use plasti dip there's an active thread on here about it

Would try plasti dip but looking more for the gloss look rather then maintaining the textured effect. Love the way that plasti dip looks on the interior parts though.
