There's a fair bit or stuff on here about removing stripes and assuming its pretty similar for most cars but just wanted to check just for peace of mind.

Got a performance blue (56 plate) and wanna remove the side stripes. Assuming there will be no paint fading or any problems. Read that I've gotta gently heat with a hair dryer then peel off and use turtle wax bug and tar remover for left over glue. Anyone got any other advice? Is it ok to do in this cold weather as I'm really impatient. Cheers guys.

They'll come off in any weather but the warmer they are the less crap they'll leave behind I imagine. Give her a damn good clean after and you shouldn't know they were ever there

You getting new ones made up or fancy the naked look?

Going for the naked look to start with I think. Wanna go with black wheels and plastics. Seen a few people's cars on here and they look quality.

I really like that look. Does anyone know how hard it is to split the headlights and spray the rings inside? Project for home or pro job? Also was thinking about fly eyes anyone had them?

headlights aren't that easy by all accounts
lots of people have used flyeyes, it's simple to use and pretty cheap so I say go for it

Splitting the lights is doable, there's not many people with happy memories of doing it tho.

Fly eyes is easier on pre facelift as it doesn't have that nipple bit on the lights. Can't remember what model you've got atm

Splitting the headlights is just a bit time consuming, i'd go to a pro to paint them personally, as its something that will be sealed back up its not like the outer plastics where you can take them back off and redo them with ease if the job wasn't up to scratch!

Speak to redstlee or freeo as both of them have covered their headlights so they're tinted!
