My wheel nuts have started rusting and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to stop it or atleast get rid of the rust? the metal bit in the middle of the hub has got a bit of rust on it too

Take em off and paint them, Hammerite do a paint straight onto to rust

Impossible to stop rust, you can slow it down, cover it up, grind it off, etc, but it'll always come back.
Only real solution is new wheel nuts.
