Well i had a 1.1 litre citroen saxo before my ST, so having had that for 3 years i went and test drove the ST and, well, drove it as i have been used to driving. So the whole way through the test drive the salesman kept saying faster! I was so used to a rolling car around bends i was frightened to floor it round the corners but he just kept saying put your foot down!

When i got out the car i said to my dad i dont care how much this car is i'm buying it. Haven't regretted it for a single second since!

Well drove the car Saturday and really gave it some welly as I went out in my own in it

I wasn't overlly impressed with the performance, for a 2litre I was looking to be blown away with 150 horses, but wasn't?!

Still not sure but dont think ill be going down the ST route.......

Oh shame you did not like it... Was it a very hot day? Might have had an impact on performance if it was.

Well it is a heavy car, so those 150 horses take a bit to get going. Keep it up above 4000 revs in 2nd and 3rd and i thinks its awesome.

I think the hot weather reduce the ST performance

as far as standard 2.0 go ford didnt push the bhp figure unlike the clio etc etc etc. but its the all round driving of the ST that wins hands down.

and then you can tweak a few more horses out of it with some simple mods....though b4 i do any i am going to have to change insurance firms as NUD don't want to deal with mods at all!!!
