I'm aware that there's a specific torque setting but I don't have a torque wrench. So how tight do I need to do them by hand?

Had the entire front end apart last night to fit a new fromt quarter panel etc.

i normally do them up so they are tight and then one little hard push to nip them a little tighter for good measure, never had a problem

Cheers Dan. That's what I've done, although my flat mate is insisting you should jump on the bar haha.

if you dont have a torque wrench, just do as Dan said, tight normally, then a little extra push

Don't jump on a crack bar with alloy wheels, you can crack them. It'sa Fiesta not a Land Rover.
