Has anyone on here fitted one? How easy is it to get the mp3 socket placed by the gear stick? Or has anyone placed it in a different location?

I bought the Aux kit from Ford quite cheaply and had it fitted on my 06 plate , My ex fitted it for me though so couldn't tell you how easy/difficult it was

I've done it. Very very easy indeed, if you take off the gear surround you actually have a cutout template of sorts of where you need to drill and what size. If you get the kit from Ford it actually tells you the hole size anyway. All you do then is feed the cable behind the centre console up to the back of the radio (secure it with cable ties supplied), and plug it into the spare socket on the Quadlock connector.

Including the trim removal and drilling, I think it took me and my mate 30 mins? If that!
