Hey guess wonder if anybody can help with a mechanical mind

I have been flushing out my pas fluid and fitting another cooler got it all sort while it was up on axel stands turned it over and went from lock to lock to bleed the system and then abs light came on and don't know why.

Anybody got any ideas

Did you do it with the engine running?

Maybe you knocked something a little bit when putting your wheel back on the other day? Unlikely though.

Have you driven it since? If both front wheels were off the floor they'd be spinning and the system will recognise there's a discrepancy between the speed sensors in the front and back wheels, and assumes that theres a fault on a speed sensor.

Put it back down on the ground, drive it and brake - the light should go off.

Happens all the time on 2WD rolling roads too.

I did this once, got in a bit of a panic and the guy goes " Its only because the front wheels are running and the rears aren't, you're supposed to be a hnc students aren't you???"

How so? I know it pumps fast, but not sure how fast because i've always had a helper on hand to turn the steering whee.

It turns out that he did actually have the engine running, I asked him earlier

Right the and is sorted now for another question has anybody disconnected the battery over nigh/24hours did this last night took the car out to night and its had a few fits where loss of power dials drop and a red light comes on at the top of the clocks in the centre

Not had that one... I've had the engine with a rough idle when connecting the battery back on but that's only while the ECU re-learns the mixture settings.

Extremely fast, with the pipes off it will empty in less than a second of the engine being on.

And with force. When I attempted a solo PAS fluid change without a helper the wine bottle I was using to catch the fluid was knocked clean off of the slam panel by the force, and I had squirted power steering fluid at least 15ft down the drive and across the road.

First I get this every dial apart from speedo drops

Didn't knock the throttle body did you? Make sure that's connected properly.

Does the transmission light flash at all?

Sorry... high engine temperature? Sounds like a dodgy sensor or an airlock?

Is the maf sensor plugged in as it can cause cars to go in restricted performance
