if its worn on the inner edge it's running to much negative camber if it'sworn on the outer it's running to much positive camber.has it had a bump?is the stub axle bent slightly, this would cause the tyres to wear.

Gentlemen please read the thread... A bump would change the camber and wear one wheel. Amanda's tires are BOTH worn on the inside - unless she had the exact same bump force on both sides - which is very unlikely - I don't see how this could have happened.

If I were you Amanda I'd write a complaint letter to Pirelli customer service with proof that you've had your car checked over for alignment and all possible other things, then wait for them to answer. You never know you might just have landed on a bad batch of tires in which case you may get some of your money back.

no they were fittedthe right side out! lol.
as for writing to pirelli, i may well do that. but only after i have had it checked again by another garage, as my local ford dealer would only check the alignment and because that came back right they said the car was ok and wouldnt do anything else (although i dont think its occured to the that it may not be the alignment at fault)

What use will sending a letter or pics to Pirelli make? Surely all they'll say is the tyre wears according to the way the car is set up (correctly or incorrectly)?

It has been known before that tire manufacturers have issued faulty batches of tires and also that they have had to replace tires under warranty so in my opinion it's worth trying. If all the evidence is there to proove that the car is set up properly then the worse than can happen is that Amanda wastes a stamp. In the best case she gets some money back for the faulty tires or even two free tires. Tire manufacturers are usually very receptive to customer feedback and complaints.

Did you hear any continuous sound coming up from the rear wheels before the tyres were worn?

The wear shown on the rear tyres, proves there is something wrong with the cars set up. Is you car lowered by some chance? if not there is defo a problem with the rear suspension, that wear has not be cause by hard driving, and Frauds need to investigate it again. If you get no joy ring CAC and keep on ringing until they do something about it.
