This guide is to show how i corrected my headlights. Neither fordfiestast.co.uk or myself take responsibility for any damge or injury caused by using this guide.

Matertials
1500 Wet dry paper
2500 wet dry paper

I used halfords own but cyc has single sheet ones cheaper. You'll only need one sheet of each. ( http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/machine-polishing-pads/polishing-accessories/wet-sanding/cat_122.html )

Masking tape ( http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/3m-3434-masking-tape/prod_79.html)

Abrasive polish. I used Menzerna - Fast Gloss FG500 ( http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing/polish/menzerna-250ml/prod_828.html )
You could also use tee-cut or any other abrasive polish.

Da or hand polishing pad. I used a sonus sfx-1 pad. You may be able to use this by hand?

Or a standard foam pad. I can't guarantee this will work.

First step is to soak the wet dry paper in a bucket with a tiny bit of washing up liquid. Leave at least 20mins. Longer the better. Cut the paper into 1/4 to make it easier to use

Next step mask up the headlight.

Now start with the most coarse paper (1500).. Spray a little water onto the light to act as a lube. Start by working vertical, then horizontal and then in a circular motion. You could do more damage if you just used the paper on its own. Once you have done the whole light go over it again 2500 Paper. It will look worse before it gets better!

Finished with 2500 grit paper.

Next step is polishing.
Using 3 dollops of polish on the pad dab it onto the light. Then work in at speed one. You need to work slowly on the lights so they don't get to hot. Again working Vertical, horizontal. If doing by hand you won't have a problem. You'll look like popeye by the time you finish.

50:50 photo of the correction.

Clean up all the residue and polish.

Once done apply some wax to protect the headlight.

Repeat for second light

Sit back and admire your work

Before for reference
