Hi All,

The first 250 cars are all plain colours with no options. About half of them are at dealerships or on the way to dealerships from the VHC, the other half are still in VHC.

If you already have your car you are lucky! If you havnt already got your car you will have to wait untill after Ford have had their launch day for the Fiesta ST. This will be the weekend of 15/16th January. (Weekend after the new Focus launch) Ford have only recently announced this, which explains why some people already have their cars (LUCKY!)

So the next available car(s) will be on or around the 18th January.

However if you have ordered extras or stripes, these cars wont even be built by Ford untill around the 13th of January. They will then be shipped to the VHC 10 days after, and then a further 10 days to the dealerships. So we wont be seeing any striped ST's untill early February.

I had orederd mine with stripes and IP bezels/matts, but I could get a car for the 18th if I so wished - however I have decided to wait that extra bit and get the car I really want.

Just thought this might interest a few of you?

Thanks for the update, your comments fit in with my available car as I couldnt order the car with ST styled mats (I have to order them separately, just gone for panther black, no stripes).

On a previous comment I stated that my car was in the Flush Vehicle Compound in Holland (it was built on 14th December, saw it on the Ford Vehicle Nav System with my own eyes).

I know the Xmas hols are in the way but the dealer didnt comment on a 10 day lead time to get them here which is why he said mine would be ready for 4/5 Jan 2005. Although as he is on holiday until 4th I cannot chase this which is a shame.

As soon as I phone him on the 4th I will place a post and let you know when I am picking it up.

Brussels Car Show (www.autosalon.be) starts then and only then will we be able to order it and testdrive it

Just spoke to my local dealer about the delivery date for my st (performance blue, no stripes). Apparently on the tracking system the "Target Delivery Date" is the 01/01/05 but there is no official ETA yet. Do you think this will mean I wont be getting it till 18th now?

If so thats quite annoying, since I have to go back to uni in a weeks time!!! Never mind. I'm sure it will be worth the hassle!

Felders, spoke to my dealer today, my car is at port in UK with a transporter on its way to pick it up hopefully in time for Friday.

Dealer said couldnt pick it up Saturday due to the Focus release, however it did say if it wasnt Friday it would be Monday or Tuesday so I dont think you would have to wait until the 18th.

Your dealer should be able to tell you exactly where it is from the tracking system, i.e. has it left deport in cologne/flush, holland or is it actually in transit to the uk, i.e. at dock awaiting delivery to dealership.

Once at dealership it should take no more than 2 days (servicing, degreasing, taxing and all that stuff)
