Thought i'd stick it in here as it will end up here anyway....

Started off my weekend in a rather different fashion compared to every other show i go to, it was 3.30pm saturday afternoon until i had broken out any buckets to wash the car. I had done a pre-show treatment only a week before so all it needed was a wash and thats it, so rather than spend my morning doing mine i helped other people!

Popped round a friend of mine's to drop some wax off, whilst there another friend turned up in his RS. I wish i had washed mine at that point because on this rare occasion i was the one with a dirty car

Also may aswell point out at this point i have duncans old wheels, finally

Then started on mine, quick wash and a zip over with detailing spray and that was that!

Met up with peel28 sunday morning, bright and early at 6.20am hes out there washing his wheels, dedicated

Drive to the services, no photos taken i was more interested in getting a decent cup of tea!

Waiting in traffic, needs to be done every ford fair! ( Also the mk3 zs infront of me was very nice, on coil overs was nicely executed! )

Get to silverstone, sams infront of me and we're all pretty well together but another 45min waiting to get from 4 lanes into a single file, what retard decided that was a good idea is beyond me!

Parked up, very nice! Luke decides to dedicate the whole of the back row to the merc

One car that was parked near our stand, really caught my attention. The gold wheels i though suited it so well, very doubtful i could get it to look just as good on mine!

Gold leaf Lotus Cortina, massive want.

5 PB ST's in a row, can't argue with that

IMG_7154 by Jack_Pearson, on Flickr

Peel's in for the added edge!

IMG_7155 by Jack_Pearson, on Flickr

So yeah all in all a very good day. Thanks to everyone who came and who i spoke to, i do appretiate these events more now for the social side than for the car to look good. I know there was a few guys on the stand i didnt get to speak to, will try next time!

Massive thanks also goes out to the near 4.5 hours of traffic that was sat in that day, getting into fordfair and on the way to mk cruise at night, it wouldnt be an event without it!

Cheers

Should've turned right and gone through Towcester, then onto the A5, and down to MK that way. We've gone that way home for the last few years after FF now, as you end up missing so much of the post-event traffic.

We had already been into northampton and eaten at this point, M1 was the easiest route for a lot of us to take to MK but there was an overturned lorry between j14-13 in the day and we were caught in the backlog of all the traffic

Brilliant write up Jack. Great photos. I struggled to get pics of most things. It's nice to see you managed to get some fantastic pics.

I dislike any car on stretched tyres. That is wrecked! I do like the Mk2 on gold wheels!

You need to get yourself a Mk1 Jack... can sort a line of them with mine, Chris and Adams then

I love the social side of the events. I'll turn up in anything just as long as I'm there

Hi guys,

First of all i would like to say thanks to whoever ( i believe it's Steph?) reserved extra places at the Hungry horse! Thanks a lot. Second i appolagize for being late, we had to pick up our ford fair tickets at a campsite which took a bit longer then expected. So sorry for that. Some proper introduction where in order, but since we where late and you guys where already eating... We didn't want to bother you while eating.

Anyway first time for me in the UK....and driving on the 'wrong' side of the road :P
Also some accents where pretty difficult for me to u derstand *couch* newcastle *couch*. Always 'us' instead of 'i' but i only saw her. Until my mate pointed out it was her accent. Also out 'shortcut' through London was a nightmare we all got seperated and lost.

But Ford Fair was amazing! Never experienced anything like it. I mean the company stands combined where larges than most Dutch events and in 12 hours time we only saw half of the cars that where there. It was amazing!

Next year we will attent ford fair again! Again thanks for diner reservation, wish i could've introduced myself properly and spoken to more people. Hope we weren't to annoying!

I think a huge thank you to Steph is in order. I felt really bad going without Duff and Stevie but Steph assured me they would go with her and Lee which made me feel better.

Sorry to have had to get off and wasn't able to stick around at the pub too long and chat. Maiya had a huge day and wanted to get home. She was all out of sync bless her.

Duss. I didn't get to met you but hopefully will in the future

I was the most handsome guy.
JK i was the biggest guy. The small portugese guy with ADD bought Thomas' supercharger and i believe he signed up to the forums. The guy with the glasses isn't on this forum, although i told him to sign up, same goes for the small guy with the spikey hair. I was a bit annoyed, at 7pm we where still waiting for the girl to finish their hair and make-up and what not
After getting our tickets they insisted on getting changed into diffirent clothes.
Otherwise we where on time and we could've have a proper introduction and such.

I haven't seen your stand either. Freek (the guy with the glasses) says it was on the other side of the bridge? We where on T10 directly next to the bridge on the inside of the track. My car was the one with the 2 balloons, a pink unicorn and a pink kitty.

@Scotty, i'm definatly going to ford fair next year! I really enjoyed England, not just Ford Fair. Most people we've met where very open and nice to us. This can not be said about the people in france and germany which i have encountered in the past. Most of them don't take any effort to talk english or dutch, theyre always grumpy. Sorry if i offended anyone by posting this.

True, the dutch Fiesta scene is pretty much dead. And the few that are active are idiots (on fiestaclub.nl that is). People putting cosworths inlets on stock engines because its a cossie. People driving with stock suspension on trackdays and say it doesn't matter because they have strutbars. People who can't get dreamscience loaders to work and the list goed on. (See my noob topic about the chiptuning of a car)

Well there is a Ford show in Venray september the 15th. I have room for 2 people to sleep, the rest can go to Freeks house . You only have to worry about the boat and gas. So lets say 1pm on september the 14th in rotterdam?

Btw Freek signed up for the forums, he's just awaiting his approval.
