Well the day finally arrived, Ford fair at Silverstone. Originally I was going to meet up with DAVE T ST and convoy together to Silverstone but unfortunately the night before he told me family issues meant that he could'nt go. So, my wife and daughter came with me.
After a fine drive there with no traffic we arrived. Well! it's my first time to Silverstone, it's massive, and somewhere amongst these thousands of people i'm supposed to find Micky (so long as he did'nt have a flat battery and not get there ).
After a few phone calls we met up and he introduced us to Ben (ST06 BEN) and his girlfriend , so off we went to get a few pics of what was there.
So, here are just a few .

Wow! i would'nt want to get out of this in my garage.

I thought Scott would be interested in this music system so he could blast out the Spice Girls like he did in Cornwall .

This ones for you DAVE T ST .

Like the look of this?

Well how about his neighbour

Then Kelly, Bens girlfriend liked the look of this.

Especially what she found in the boot

Someone should show this to the owner of a similar car pictured on an earlier thread, if your gonna Chav it, then do it propa .

This paintwork looked expensively nice .

Could not help getting in a couple for Nick

Looked like Me, Chris and Cassie in Cornwall, remember, on those private roads .

And this looked like Chris heading off the motorway to get some petrol on the way to Cornwall .

And what nearly happened to me and Micky following

Nah, 1 grille badge yes, but...

I loved the bonnet grille on this . Micky said he thought he knew who owned it.

If your looking for a second hand car, and someone says you must look for a clean engine, this is what your looking for! .

Those doors again. After openning and closing them for ourselves, we all agreed how wobbley and flimsey they were .

This Funny/Street car was seriously fast doing the 0-60 test strip!

My favourite. This guy gave us a spin out display after his 0-60 .

Some more speakers for Scott and the Spice Girls .

I did'nt realise how heavy a Capri bonnet is .

The STOC cars.

And finally.....Towards the end of the day, i wish he was towing this to my house. (MK II Escorts are my fav)

Well, i hope you all enjoyed the pics and i'm sure there are going to be more up of the day off Micky and Ben and a few more who were there that we did'nt get to meet.

I'm sure it was getting to see the 200 in action, would have loved to have seen them at Castle Combe, but just unfortunate didn't get the chnace due to the rain.

Lol, I wasn't that bad!!

Was it flimsy after spending ages opening and closing them till they'd come loose though?

Thanks for sharing all those with us Kev, looks like you had a real good day out.

A great day, yes.
Stanard classics ?!...ABSOLUTELY! Me too! They were all there!
Anglias, Cortinas MK 1-5, all mint!
MK I Escorts:- Mexico's, RS 2000's etc
MK II Escorts:- 16 Sports, Mexico's, RS 2000's.. Just like the one i used to have .
You name it.
My only disappointment was that i did'nt see a 'MK II RS 1800'......That was until we were walking back to the car park at the end of the day and TWO!! TRICKLED! passed us into the owners park!
Today was the first time i've seen one in the flesh, and i've drooled over them for 20 years! since i bought my first Ford mag explainig what a 'BDA' Engine was, twin cam 16 valve , twin 40's, 45's etc, etc, etc. and a lot more! I know.

Yes, saw those too . My wife said to me:-
"look at that, ones for sale, it's only £350 ",
Nearly breaking my neck to turn around at that comment, it read £3500.00 !
Still, it was a nice original..maybe?

Sorry but hear are a few more pictures. I’ll spare you most of them because I took about 500.
8 am I met up with Ben and his girlfriend in Newbury, we decided to go in convoy and I think we decided about 10pm Saturday night where to meet. The weather was looking a bit dull first thing in the morning but it soon brightened up and I got sunburn for the second time this year

Anyways we had a great time and it was good to meet Ben for the first time and Kevin and his family again.

Car for Scott, was for sale so had to get a pic.

300bhp wolf focus ST

Liking the silver st

Escort taking it easy around the track

Lovely Sirerra?

Another escort cosworth. I want one

Old skool escort rally car

Never seen one this colour before

Beamer getting throttle happy

The Stig came out to play. Anyone know what this car is?

Julies new car

White and blue seems to work for all cars

Picture explains it all. My feet aren’t that big btw

RS200 Tearing up the 0-60 strip

Back home, sorry about the few near misses Ben

Was a great day, hope to see more of you at future events

Again, some nice pics you've got there, looks like you also had a great day out.

I agree that that white Focus looks great with the blue stripes, I'm liking it a lot.

It's a Lotus 340R. Basically an Elise Mk1 chassis with most of the body panels stipped down to bare minimum (or less).

That white Escort Cosworth is just stunning...

Hey Guys N Girls !!
First of all wanna say what a great day I had, Good to meet a few members, Followed Micky up from Newbury, like he said few near misses on the way back (first time my hazards have come on LOL)but was all good, top bloke. We Then met up with Kevin, Julie and Sarah in the morning, all great people, made for a really good day.
Most of the pics have already been shown but gotta add a few ...

What a funky lil thing ! Mickys next investment ?

Lovely bit of kit !! Awesome Car

Love the old skool too !

Good car, Awesome Plate !! MOVE IT !

How cute !

Where else could i squeeze a speaker ? ...

Great display !

No words can describe !!!

Kevin doin his laps ...

Somethin a bit different

Loving the silver surrounded fogs

Think the white colour coded bottom grill works really well

Like the paint job on the back grille, maybe a future project

Blue fogs, definetly a future project

So, thats where Kev's tights went, very innovative idea

Does anyone know how you do the silver surround on the fogs ? Really like the idea of painting them blue then puttin a silver surround on.

Anthony in the pics you posted, the rallyed up fiesta, did u see it get towed away on the 0-60 track ? ended in smoke !!

Anyway... great day, great people, see you all again soon !!

Ha ha, no, not at all Kevin... I just really like white generally speaking and the only reason I went for a black one is that it was the only one I could really find that was decent and not modified but my first choice would have been white of course. Anyhow that white one in the pics is in much better shapen than mine.

When the was first unveiled a couple of years back, Ford where actually going to put silver surrounds on the foggies, but unfortunatly droppped the idea. As for actually doing them, its a little hard to tell whether they've simply painted the edges silver, which would be fairly easy to do, or not. If they are proper ones then I haven't seen any for sale anywhere so in this case I guess they'd have to be custom made.

I think that Silver Fiesta is an ST look a like cause the wing mirrors are the same as a S fiesta which have been paint. Great picture good to see what other doing on their ST!

Yes, that one definitely isn't an ST. It does look so much nicer though with them colour coded than the normal black ones.

The silver ST is Shady/Mikey's "Project ST". Basically put he's bought a standard car and can convert it for less than buying one or something alone those lines.

Kev doing his laps?? That's my friend Chris Morgan getting a bit sideways happy

Polygono's car has a silver tape from Halfords thats created the silver surround effect. It works very well and a project I might be trying in the future.

The white ST is owner by Laura but she had a poorly hand so couldnt drive it that day. Someone with her drove it though and the white Focus with ming...I mean blinging wheels is her hubby's

Thanks Anthony for posting pics of our stand

Lets not speak about Pat Doran's Fiesta which promptly blew up shortly after that pic was taken (oops)

Should be having a go in one of these very soon (Silverstone Group N ST)

All in all a cracking day

The silver strip around the fog lights is chrome stripping that can be bought from halfords/unicar etc. It's just a self adhesive chrome that you cut to length and stick it on with the double sided tape.
