Todays Autocar claims that the Fiesta RS is officially dead. Quotes ford sources as saying it was a mistake to display the car at Birmingham & Geneva as it deflected attention from the ST and created a demand that it can't satisfy.

Ford now wants to shift attention to the Focus ST (which looks fantastic in Autoexpress spyshots) and quotes Jos Capito (Re the Fiesta RS)as saying he doesn't want to be known as someone who lost money.

If true, which I guess there is no reason to assume otherwise, I am most disappointed.

I wonder how much the Focus ST will be?

Focus ST will be around 17 - 19k depending on spec and options. I saw the article on the Fiesta RS earlier. I hate to say this, but I think the Capito quote seals this one for good.
