hi all i went and test drove an ST today and will be ordering mines as soon as my mk1xr2 is sold was quite funny in looking at the ST as a lot of the salesmen were out looking at my old mk1 lol,i want a silver one with side stripes privacy glass and the bluetooth thingy,has anyone on here got any pictures with a silver ST with the stripes on it???

Welcome stranger. That's a lovely looking XR2 , I'm not surprised that the sales men were hovering around it...they're like vultures !
Anyway, where are you from? the XR2 looks like a left hand drive?

welcome to the site good choice buying an ST ur XR2 look superb, never saw one in such a good condition neither seen one with the side stripe. If I were u I keep the XR2 and buy an ST u get 2 collectors!!

thanks peeps if i had the space and cash i would keep the mk1 as well i have had it 4 years and its never skipped a beat with only 67,000 miles from new as i have a van for everyday use so the ST will be my new toy,if i enjoy it half as much as the mk1 i will be very happy,looking forward to air con and ellecy windows etc lol 2 of the salesmen took my mobile as well so might get the mk1 sold through them...the salesgirl was very helpfull and let me take it a long drive scrared her when i first hit the acclerator as it revs up so much quicker than the mk1 lol

I'm sure you'll enjoy having an ST if you get one, though I'm equally sure you'll be a little sad to see the XR2 go. It does look very well looked after, and I can't believe in all the years its been around its only done 67,000 miles!

Your XR2 is the exact same as my 1st car....I loved it it was great....but so is the enjoy your new one!!!!!
