Hello, I am thinking of changing the aerial on my but notice that the threaded stud is in the roof base unit,unlike other cars its threaded stud is on the aerial rod,is there a way to change this so that i can use a shorter aerial from another car ?

I replaced mine with a 10cm one from ebay. It has a removable thread so you could either take it out (which I did for the ST) or leave it in if it was the other way around.

Forgot to mention. I also painted the base of the aerial in silver to make it look better. I have posted a picture of it on there (somechanges - the forecourt) but it isn't the best picture. Will get some more soon.
