Hello all
Iam new to the forum so probably post this question in the wrong place but here goes the ST has just come back from a service. I was told the the reverse light switch is broken my question is Where is the switch located, and given my moderate skills is it something I could change my self,I assume it is somewhere in the gear stick

As for where its located, I don't know but someone will be along to answer soon I'm sure

Reverse light switch is located on the gearbox bellhousing - can't quite remember where off the top of my head but providing you have decent access it's not a difficult job to take on

its on the back of the gearbox, its the sump plug basically, for it to break it musta been taken out seems odd to me

Ok so you are saying it's the oil sump plug that was removed to change the oil during the service or it's located on or near the sump plug either way it sounds like the garage has somehow bust during the service??

does the gearbox have a sump plug ? not certain but thought you took a shaft out to drain it, might be wrong ?

well its more of a filly plug than a sump plug

Is it near the sump plug?? I'm sure when I changed mine I could get to it quite easily while looking at it from the front?
