Cheers for the advise,as you say i find it impossible to replace it,probably bent the little idiot trying,the paint looked great,then i went and scratched it all trying to refit the spring clip,is it safe to drive without it fitted ?

Couldnt get it back on so went on a trip to quick fit the guy there was very helpful and replaced it in 10 seconds,no pliers just twist & shove,all done. Cost was zero,well done quick fit good service. Thanks to all for trying to help.

Forgot to mention the guy a quick fit said that there wasnt really a danger of not fitting it as all the pads etc are bolted in,doent really know its full purpose.
