I have setup the image uploader so that any image you wish to post in a thread can now be done very easily!




Please if you are posting an image take the time to save the image to your hard drive and use the uploader.
This means that we can maintain the thread history as externally linked images are uncontrolled and often get moved leaving the thread with the dreadded red X and thus a thread that will often make no sense. It only takes a minute and will make a massive diffence to this site.


All you have to do is follow the link at the top of the page and a new window will open (so you don't lose wherever you are on your current screen). Select the file(s) you wish to upload and then click the upload button, the files will then be uploaded to our server and the UBB code will then appear so all you have to do is highlight it, copy and paste!


Please note:
The ideal size for an image is 800x600 pixels, and must be .jpg, .gif or .psd, and smaller than 150k.
I know the formatting looks primitive, I wanted to make it available ASAP - I will improve it's looks tonight.

I take it the same applies to hot-link as is on the cossie board..?

i.e. what you upload to this board cannot be linked to from elsewhere on the web...

Oh, yeah they are protected, the ammount of attempted abuse on the cosworth forum is insane.
I wouldn't mind so much as you can get some pretty cool stuff uploaded but it'd cost me an absolute fortune.

Is it no longer possible to post images from an existing address?

It can still be done yes, I'm just hoping people will use the uploader as it keeps the threads together. My worry is that if links to 3rd parties are made they are uncontrolled so the images could be removed, or worse still changed to something obscene if the originator takes umbridge to the hot-linking.

I know you like to host your own images Dave which is fine, and if you move them then we can just run a script to update the paths.
