Hey Kevin, I know with myself certainly, things have been a little hectic for me and I haven't yet had a chance yet to even upload my pictures on my PC to have a look at yet. But I will try and have a look and sort through them later this week if I get the chance though, so there should be some before long if no one else has got any up before me.

It's alot easier with Digital or SLR as you can just get rid of ones you don't like and also just take as many as you like... some of the best ones are just when you happily snap away and don't aim for the shots.

You'll have to show us the pics when you get time to scan them.

Mine will be up later

Here goes, just a few of mine. If you read Chris's write up you'll get the idea of the weekend.

These little Clio's were deceiving, they could really move!

They loved to raise a bit of dust.

Then came the big boys who really did love to raise some dust.

This part of the course got really busy for the first few laps, especially as the cars tyres were still a bit cold.

As you can see. This chap was actually after a piggy back ride .

Once the tyres had warmed up the course openned up and they were flying through.

Just on the left of the pic, this guy got nudged from the one on the right and ended up angrily taking a short cut.

The same corner smoking some tyres.

Then out came the Megannes. Very impressive, and really fast, all but one that is

Here are the 1st & 2nd cars. They had a great scrap from start to finish, very entertaining .

Here is the Renault F1 who came out on his own to do a few demo laps. This was LOUD !

And finally, after all the racing was over we had a little time left to hit the fair.
What do you think Scott is doing with this turkey .

And Scott's girlfriend Lucie having a little prayer to herself, while the girl to her left with legs crossed is thinking...God, this is boring

Then.......away we go!

Oh, just one last pic. Donnington is on the flight path for East Midlands airport so there were loads of planes going over.
I don't know much about planes but i do know how many wheels they normally have. Goodness knows how many this thing had, but believe me there were a lot!

All thats left to say is that myself and my wife and daughter had a great couple of days with the other members and can't wait for the next event with the hope of meeting up with some more of you. .

The plane in the last picture is an Antonov An-124 Kev. Large Russian transporter that is run by a (I think) Ukranian cargo company. The Ministry of Defence charter them for carrying large loads in and out of Iraq, Afganistan and the Balkans etc. It has 24 wheels on its main undercarriage You think that ones big, they have a larger one which has six engines and more undercarriage wheels. It was originally designed to carry the Russian Space Shuttle which was aborted with the end of the Cold War and the dire financial status that the USSR was left in after its break up into individual states. I believe they got one flying again last year for some reason.

A picture of the larger one is below.

AN-225 Mriya

I'll get my Anorak!

Oh god those ruddy planes. Having been to Download festival for 3 years running it really feels like they are going to land on you when you're tucked up safe and snug in your tents *lol*

Thx for the information Stu. I'm loving that picture with the shuttle ontop!!!

They do this with Jumbos in the US... just an amazing sight, can never get bored of it.

I hope to see many more people at future events

Here's one pic that i forgot to post.
As Chris said, after pulling, pushing and tugging at the interior of this Clio and saying how tacky and plastic it was, Scott had one last word to say about it........have a guess .

I’ll add my little bit:

After Kevin and his family and Micky arrived at my house we set off to Donington and on the way I phoned Julie up as I was craving a Maccccies so had to go through the drive through and get myself a double sausage McFattin and also a double bacon McGreasin.

We then got to Donington and parked up in the traffic to get in. Many people were amused by me getting out and taking pictures.

We then parked up on the field just outside the track gates

Next on the agenda was to be serious and play with the children’s toys 

Note: Lucie’s Mini in the line up of crappas… I mean clios.

Excellent job of the first corner there Lucie, couldn’t have flipped it on it’s roof better myself

After getting far too involved and excited with the Scalextric we heard off to have a look around the show and found ourselves in the showroom.

There is a very gorgeous young lady modeling in this picture.

Then it was past the gold V6… it does look very nice!!!

Then it was time to head over to the Clio Sport. What a fantastic … this really was

This is my favorite picture of it

We then headed off to our grandstand seats to watch the action

Can’t forget the F1 car; This was the first time I’ve seen an F1 car go around a circuit and WOW, the noise it makes it just ear blistering!!! The power is just shocking!!!

The days were brilliant and I really enjoyed the weekend. Big thanks to everyone who made the effort to come, especially Chris and Micky who drove from Cumbria and Basingstoke to attend!!!

I hope to see you all again soon, and others!!!

Scotty

Finally a week after the event i get to post up some picturs.I think everything has already been said about the weekend and i just want to point out another great day with great people.

After early start saturday morning 6:15 (early for me) i set off to Scotts, i almost didn't even make it to newbury because on the way there my fuel light came on. Nice gentle drive to get some petrol.By the time i got some it was 6:30 and i had a 90mile drive to do by 8ish. On the way up one last attempt to get sat nav to find Scotts. After calling Scotty from the services i find i'm about 1/2hour away. When i get to Scotts just after 8 i'm greeted by Kevin,Julie,Sarah,Chris and then Scotty and Lucie. We then headed up to Donnington.

Yet again i took hundreds of pictures but here are a few

Even though it was only Quallifing the clios didn't hold back. Wish i was around to see the race

This is the first time i have seen a Formula 1 car. It's something else even though he wasn't really pusshing the car

Love the colour this

When we went back to the cars for some grub i herd Scotty shout of Micky cosworth. i looked around and didn't see it untill he pointed at it. I WANT ONE

After i left the rest of the group i saw this accident.

It was a really good day out and i wish i could have gone sunday but after getting back at midnight i decided to spend the day in bed.
Great meeting you all again and Lucie for the first time. Hope to meet up again soon.
