Now the forum is upgraded and seems to have bedded in, can we go over old ground with tapatalk?

I know some people dont like it but i love it for quick use on the go

Im useless with computers so dont know if its possible or not etc

Definitely agree with this - almost a necessity - the bare forum webpage is annoying to use on a phone

i must admit is is a pain on my android phone,it never bothered me when i had my iphone,focus stoc have this and it really is a good way to get around a forum quicker so chris,scotty what do you think

You don't have a problem with it as you've not experienced it in a better way. Because you guys don't have a problem, it doesn't mean that problem doesn't exist.

Although the post content is a decent size, forum and post titles are not, the quick reply box is laggy as hell, and far too much zooming and scrolling around is required and is something that shouldn't need to be done.

Surfing a desktop optimised site on any phone sized mobile device is a counterproductive exercise and Tapatalk eliminates this by taking the content on the site and optimising it for mobile use. It's so much faster, more convenient, easier to upload photos, get live notifications on your phone of replies or messages... its such a step up that once you use it you'll realise just how frustrating it is to use the web browser.

I use the forum on my android phone, iPad and desktop, no problems on any of them

personally I generally dont use it on my mobile devices as I feel there is no need to be on the forum throughout the whole day getting updates on everything. Im quite happy checking once in a while when im on my computer

Perhaps the solution is to give people the option.....??

My bike forum uses it and I tried it and don't like it so I use the normal format, it's quite straight forward

I dont like the mobile version on stoc, much prefer the way it is atm

Of course... tapatalk doesn't replace the existing forum by any means. That's all this thread is asking - for Tapatalk to be enabled

It's totally free too - there is literally no reason at all not to include it.

I've just done a bit of googling and as far as I can see UBBthreads isnt supported on tapatalk.
Apparently tapatalk is waiting for UBBthreads 8 before putting time into it so they dont have to rewrite it
And as far as I can see ubb 8 is a long way off as the project seems to be on hold

It's open source - it just means a pre-built plugin isn't available from Tapatalk themselves. You can grab the source and make it work with any php based forum software. It's definitely possible, just might take a little more time to sort out.

EDIT: Even a mobile CSS would be good with the ability to upload photos directly to the forum.
