Hello crazy

Long time no type lol

I’m looking to buy the red Mountune 4 pot brake upgrade for the st …I would also like the rear calipers to match so rather than effing and jeffing with my current rear set on the car I decided to buy a pair of used Fiestast500 rear calipers (red) and hopefully do a complete overhaul.

So far I have bought a rebuild kit and completely dismantled the calipers from the carrier to all the rubbers etc. All metal parts like the handbrake mechanism, springs and bolts have been cleaned and then dipped in rust remover…..look like new I tell tree.

The problem I have is I stripped one of the heads on the torx bolts, this holds the bracket for the handbrake adjuster mechanism along with a nut.

I was sure I could just pop down to my local Ford and order a replacement bolt. To my amazement you can only order things like the pistons, slider pins, seals and bleed boobies.
Basically nothing related to the handbrake adjuster mechanism at all not even the bloody spring… in fact the guy at Ford said if you need any replacement parts for the handbrake mechanism you would have to buy the complete caliper unit which is 305 English pound coins and zero pence …and that is not including the carrier they come in at 105 English pound coins and zero pence.

I could take the torx bolts from my existing calipers on my car but I would like to sell those after I have installed the red ones.

Do you think these will be obtainable at my local B&Q or someplace???
