Has anyone successfully repaired any chips with one of those clear lacquer pens? I have a few very minor chips around the wheel arch and on the boot and I'm tempted by the easy option of a pen - really don't want to make them any more visible though!

Iv used touch up paint before, covered up the chip but was noticeable close up.

Might give it a go then. I guess I can cut it back if it looks bad.

Saw a decent video on this on the Drive channel. Interesting that he mixed the colour and lacquer together before putting it on, and used a stick with a fine point to apply it, rather than the supplied brush.

I had a go at touching up a scratch on a focus I had after I caught a gate post. Just painted it on to cover the bare metal to prevent rust, so it was quite obvious after.

Nice vid. Finish looks good. I doubt I could make it look that good!
