Rosberg on pole, but another shocker for Hamilton in qualifying again, this time with his Mercedes, and quite possibly his title fight, literally going up in smoke just a few minutes into Q1. A pity it didn't catch fire in Q3, as the rain may have put it out! It may cause raminfications for him later in the season as well, as with having to change the engine agin, he may go need to have a sixth engine towards the end of the year and take the hit from that.

Rain forecast tomorrow though so lets see if that mixes things up a bit, and help both Hamilton and Button. thumbs

Another brilliant race yesterday, nice to see things shaken up a bit..... Ricciardo is showing what a real talent he is now he has a decent car thumbs

Seemed a strange decision to ask Lewis to let Rosberg through but I very much doubt they'll have team orders from now on

Summer break now for a month, Spa is next, we were there last year buttrock

Great race, Hamilton did fantastically well to finish where he did despite starting from the pitlane, a couple of really heavy crashes and Vettel was PROPERLY lucky not to collect the wall during his spin.

Hamilton totally in the right by the way - why should he be expected to give up a 1 second gap to let Rosberg past? Maybe if he was hanging off his gearbox, but not with that gap at all.

absolutely Nick, that wont sit well with Lewis. after the weeks news that mercedes are considering vettel for an 'all german team' he must be concerned now that they would prefer rosberg to win the championship than him

It was another great race. Hamilton had a little bit of luck with when the safety car came out during the race, but was due a bit of luck. Agree that he was right not to let Rosberg through. They said that Rosberg was on a different startegy, but as he pointed out on the radio "What if my tyres go off towards the end?" - which they did! Rosebrgt never got close in that phase of the race to overtaking so the only way he'd have got past was by Hamilton slowing down and at the end of the race it would have cost him third as Rosberg would have caught up with a few more laps to go on faster tyres.

They may ask again but I doubt he'll take any notice!

I think for 2016 they may go for that. Hamilton and Vettel are both contracted to their teams until the end of 2015, so they'd have to buy Vettels's contract out AND sack Hamilton, so not sure it would happen for next season. Since Ross Brawn left under a cloud at the end of last year though, Hamilton has been the odd man out in a (technically) German team, so even if they're not saying it I'm sure they would prefer a German to win. unsure

Belgium GP at Spa this weekend, such an awesome circuit!!

It's been announced today that Jos Verstappen's son Max will be driving for Toro Rosso next year making him the youngest ever driver in F1. He is currently 16 and will debut at 17 bowdown

His dad is probably best know for this small incident shock

I know, that's the one thing he's remembered for, shortly after they'd re-introduced re-fuelling IIRC. What I can't remember though is that mechanic wandering around on fire. shock

So I'm sure this'll divide opinion but was Rosberg on Hamilton on purpose.....??

I'm not convinced it was (yes I know I'm not a Lewis fan) but Rosberg barely touched his rear wheel and couldn't be certain it would ruin Lewis's race and also may well of ended his own race, racing incident with 2 drivers who weren't gonna win would be my conclusion
