I'm having trouble making a decision about what I should do to remedy my buckled wheels, so I thought I'd open it up to the forum to see if anyone has any ideas.

The challenge I'm facing is that all of my wheels (standard alloys) are buckled. God only knows how it happened, I haven't driven over anything major so I can only assume that it was the previous owner. Either way, the last MOT highlighted them as an advisory and my rear drivers side tyre loses pressure as a result of the flat spot.

So, possible outcomes that I've considered so far:

- buy another set of wheels on eBay (set of Focus ST170 alloys on there for reasonable money atm)
- buy a brand new set of alloys (Team Dynamics ~£400)
- get all of the wheels straightened and refurb'ed, also ~£400 including new centre caps

I'm reluctant to spend a load of money on straightening wheels that may still come back out of shape or weakened by the process, but at the same time, I like the standard wheels and don't really want to replace them with aftermarket wheels.

I can't make my mind up - any ideas / suggestions would be appreciated!!

Or Japan racing wheels? They do TE37 look a likes among other. Pretty sure they are strong too as many BDC drifters are running them

New wheels seems to be the general consensus! I think it'll be Team Dynamics Imola, like the look of them and they're reaonably cheap.

Also, does anyone know for sure what the width and offset should be if I buy a new set? Does it make a difference that I have 20mm spacers?

who said they are buckled and how do they know, serious tracking problems and or uneven tyre wear ?
Tyres as opposed to wheels can buckle, they can deform to an extent you get wheel vibration and pulling to one side when breaking. If your tyre is leaking likely could simply need removing, rim and tyre cleaning and re-sealing properly.
If your wheels are buckled I would imagine they are cracked as well ?

They may well be cracked too. I've seen them when on a lift, definitely flat spots on all of them. It was highlighted at the last MOT. I'm getting the leaking tyre and wheel checked today just to be sure, but I'm not hopeful that it'll be sorted!

Cant you find another set of st150s cheap?
Personally i would just have loads of wheel weight to balance the wheels out.

This is the best photos i've got to show the fronts and rears. These were ET35.
Backs had the spoke sat flush with the arch. No spacing on the car.

Dan ran these with 12.5mm rear spacers iirc and they sat great.

If you wanted to retain the spacers you could go for a lesser offset, et50?

Thanks for th input guys, and for the pics Jack. I'm going back to the tyre place today to see if there's anything they can do to stop the leak before I go ahead and get the new wheels.

Jack, cam I be a pain and ask if you got a rubbing etc?
Looking at some 15" team dynamics 7J wide and ET35. Been looking for a few hours and I've seen so many numbers its confusing me.
I've got 12.5mm spacers on the back and I think I'd have to run 205/50/15 or 195/55/15. The latter is more accurate to the original tyre size but don't know if it will look odd
