Reading the comments the majority of people seem to having a go at the organisers, but the date change is sod all to do with them - and believe me with the amount of stress Future Publishing (organisers of Ford Fair and Trax) have put me through over the years I've no reason to defend them if they were the ones to blame!

It seems that politics between the rights owners for the British Moto GP and Donington have led to Silverstone bailing that event out, but because World Series by Renault (making a welcome return to Britain after a four year gap) was taking place at Silverstone that same weekend in August, in turn the Renault Racing has had to put back a week to when Trax was to be held. It's not ideal for people, but it's outside the organisers control. From Silverstones point of view racing events have to fit the respective calendars, whereas car shows can be fit in at any time. They say it will return to it's normal slot in September next year.

Just to add...

In light of this news I've switched the deadlines for Trax and Ford Fair round - Trax is now 30th April, and Ford Fair 31st of May. It may mean us getting a slightly worse pitch at FF, but don't think it's fair of me to expect people to pay for two shows in one month.

Wow... This puts a spanner in the works... Do we attend both shows a fortnight apart. It seems a little too close. My favourite is Trax by a long way. Also happy Renaults back... will be going to that.

People have already bought tickets for both shows so the forum will have to do both

Only Tom has paid so not sure really I can not see many people doing both IMO

I don't think I'll be there, far too much cost wise in July (ring trip and another holiday) to contend with.

I prefer Trax to FF just because there's more variety and more happening on track. Although i think the British Drift Championship won't be holding their round there this year now due to the date change

The car was on a 2 year PCP so I was at the end of the agreement. Now I have the company car, I decided I should stay like that for a year or so as it barely costs me anything and I can save much more money to put towards a deposit for a house =]

I hate to ask this but I will.... Are there any passes going for Trax? A change in things at work means I have some holidays left to use and have found myself free the weekend Trax is on and was thinking I could bike or car to the gig if there was a pass kicking around?

I've allocated you a spare pass for Trax Dave. Just remember to order yourself a ticket for Trax off their website as you'll save yourself a few quid that way.
