There is a bracket behind the radiator on the passenger side that looks like it should be holding something. Is part of my car missing? What do you guys have situated here?

Isn't that the bracket that holds the reservoir for the air box?
You look like you've got the original air box system in place, that correct? Amongst lots of restrictive pipework ford put in theres a big dropped down reservoir that is attached to it. I took the bracket off when i took all my original system out.

Just to assist, see photo below.


The bracket you're pointing towards is on the left of the photo. If you look on the right next to it is a black bottle-esque thing. Thats what should be attached.

It's the air box resonator. It makes not a lot of difference and the hole that is left in the intake pipe is still pre-filter so it shouldn't have any disastrous effects not being there.

Just get it all off and replace with the Mountune CAIS thumbs

Thanks for the pic and advice. I've never had a car flash enough to come equipped with one these before ha ha, I had to Google to see what it does, (or did).

Save yourself hundreds of dollars and just do this.

About $60 worth and you can clearly notice the difference is pickup!
