Had an interesting conversation with my local garage yesterday. The car went in to have the rear driver's side brake calliper freed up as it was binding. He noticed that my MIL light was on (has been since the sports cat went on in December). He turned the light off for me (free of charge, which was nice) and advised me that he light had been on. I talked to him a bit about what I'm doing mods wise and when I mentioned to him about re-mapping to get the light off, he said that having that particular light on is NOT an MOT fail! Quite surprised by that, but I know where I'll be going for my MOT if I haven't had the light turned off by then!

I'll guess your light will be back on in a couple of weeks if you don't remap it. I guess the emissions on the mot test would be the most important and not if there is an warning light? At least Milltek says their sportscat will pass mot.
Mine is due in march. So hope I won't get any problem with my sportscat

EML light wont fail an MOT, but failing the emmisions test will. As you have a sports cat everything should be fine. Just makesure the cat is nice and warm before.

Have booked it in early in the morning when they open. And they said they always let the car idle a bit before testing it. Also has heatwrapped manifold so the heat is kept inside better. So fingers crossed it would pass with no problems happy

i should pass easy i have a 100 cell cat put on and on the screen all numbers stayed green so with the 200 cell cat it should fly through a mot, just get spacer for the cat if you dont want your engine light to pop up again and fill it with wire wool

This sounds interesting. Can you elaborate?! I'm glad to hear that your 100 cell cat passed, I'm a little concerned about my 100 cell, but you and a few others have said it should be fine, so hopefully it will be!
