Hello!

Have any of You had similar problems with your climate control? Really getting annoyed off soon..

When accelerating, pretty often the display goes dark for 1sec, then on again with the previous temperature setting. For e.g when I start the car, I might have 20c. Then if I change it to 21 or 19 or whatever, after it's gone dark, it will show 20c again. And after that, it will blow the air to wrong places. If Its on Auto, it will blow the cold air to the feet. So if I want it to come out from the midle, I have to select it to blow to the feet. If I want it to blow to the feet, I have to manually select it to blow to the middle (face). To fix this, I have to switch off the car for a few minutes. Then it's ok untill it breaks down again.

The strange thing about this is that it doesnt do this all the times. In summer when the weather was hot it happend almost every time i was driving. Now when its colder (10c) it just happens now and then. And when this fault happens, it newer happens again on the same drive.

I've had my car now for 4 times to the dealer. They changed the headunit, all (2) temp sensors inside the car, checked the earth(?) connections, and all other connections. Got the car again last week, and now it happend again.. At my dealer, they really dont have a clue what's wrong. At first they didn't believe me, so had to video it with my phone to show them. Got the video here if you want to have a look... Video (MP4) filmed with Nokia N80

So don't know what's next. Have to call the dealer again I think.. But if you know someone with similar broblems and got it fixed, it would help me alot. Could tell my dealer then what to do.

Sounds very bizarre. Have to say though it is hasnt happened to me yet (touch wood). Ive only had one warranty fix on this car and that was when the bluetooth/vc packed up. Surely they cant be telling you that its normal. And i didnt know there were 2 temp sensors inside the car. I presume the first is the small grill below the a/c controls, but where is the other?

Very odd, not had this problem either.

The unit seems to be resetting itself and as they have already replaced the unit, it would suggest the wiring is faulty, have they tried a new wiring loom yet.

Not seen this before, but i agree with Gareth, its probably an electrical problem somewhere.

Yes, the first sensor is the small grill below the a/c controls. The other one is in the "foot area" I think.. Don't know on which side and don't know what you exactly call the place

Have to contact my dealer tomorrow.. think they want in my car again. Ford have a contact center in Sweden. My dealer told me they can't call ther before they changed every part that has something to do with the climate control.. Sounds a bit odd I think, now they done a lot of unnecessary work.
