Hi all.

Just got my new ST in Performance Blue.

Had a 2.0tdci focus beforehand. It was a very quick car which flew along and still gave 50mpg. However, I bought it brand new and in just short of 1 year, it has broken down on me 12 times! Eventually, after the final conk out last week, decided enough was enough and time to move on.
The Focus was plagued by a fault with the EGR valve - despite continual mods/upgrades by Ford over the past year, they still cannot find a cure that solves my probs, so good riddance - I will never buy a Ford diesel again, not for as long as they are partnered by Peugeot (French C**p).

Anyway, like I said, the TDCi is gone and the ST is now in the drive. OK, so Im losing the 6th gear and 50mpg, but the reasons for me needing a diesel have now gone, so decided to have a bit of fun with an ST!

First impressions? Well, Im running her in at the moment, but loving the body hugging seats, raspy exhaust and superb grip levels! The colour is great, the wheels look good and the fuel economy so far is 35mpg in gentle driving!

Im not planning any upgrades at the moment, (it came with the privacy pack). Its quite refreshing to see an ST without any stripes on it! Also, Im an old man at 38, so dont want the "fast n furious" look!

Hi all.

orderd my frozen white with all over stripes on the 07/09/06....have just heard from dealers that its here and i am now waiting for black glass to be fitted as they couldnt do it where it is now made.. so hopefully i have a date to pick her up on the 19/10/06....cant wait.

Have an MGZR at the moment and i realy will miss it, as it handles and sticks to the road so well. But here comes the ST....im sure it wont dissapoint. 2 litres instead of 1.4 in MG.... thats goin to put a smile on my face....

Just the task of running her in for a while i guess will seem like an eternity....but when thats done....you all know the score..here i come.

Meeting up would be great, but its very difficult to find the time!

Unfortunately, I work and live down in High Wycombe (driving a 1.0 Micra!!) during the week, but up in Northern Scotland in Peterhead (where the ST is ) during weekends!

I work near London and spend most of my time flying around all over the place! (just back from a month in Malaysia on business - nice place!).

Means its very difficult to get time to do anything out of the norm.

When I do get time off, Im normally at home in Peterhead with the family, attending to a list as long as your arm of jobs to do around the house!!!

Its all go........
