Welcome aboard. I meant to write a guide for this while I was servicing mine.
I'll flesh this out later however:
NGK Spark Plugs - they spark the cylinders, that's all I can say. They last well beyond the yearly service schedule I have so no problems to report.
I'm using a K&N 57i, but when I was using the standard air filter I noticed little to no difference between the standard air filter and a K&N panel filter, maybe a little more noise.
Fuel filter is a piece of piss, but be prepared to be covered in fuel. It's on the passenger side of the car, underneath, next to the fuel tank just in front of the rear wheel. You'll see it. Unclip the input and output pipes to it from the mounting points (lever it with a screwdriver), unclip and move the handbrake cable out of the way to give yourself room, push in the tab on the connectors and pull them off, plug them in to the new filter, clip it all back up again. No spanners or sockets needed for the fuel filter at all. You'll need a 13mm spanner for the sump plug, the smaller of the two sizes of spark plug socket, and an oil filter removal tool. Oh - and a Torx T40 (I think!) for the air filter housing.
