I got the pre-facelift with the triple stereo design and was wondering if it was possible to plug an aux lead into it or if i could set up anything similar? Was hoping to wire something up and put an AUX plug in on one of the blanks where the windscreen heaters are

As far as I know there isn't a way to add an aux socket to the three bar stereo. You could probably get an fm modulator however youd be better off with an aftermarket stereo

I'm in the same boat Sam! I've been searching and searching for ages for a decent am/fm modulator due to having a three bar stereo too but i've still to come across one, have been debating on cutting out a hole in the dash and fitting my old ipad but i'm unsure on how to fit it..so i'll probably just leave it hahah

hmm am i right in saying that the you can put an aux lead into the facelift stereo, that might be an option, and does the face lift center console swap straight in??

That won't work Sam, I think that's for the mk7 Fiesta.the mk6 doesn't have a fakra antenna connection.

Facelift stereo does support aux in, but the wiring harness is totally different so it'll be a case of converting the car harness to quadlock

Get a top notch stereo and go Bluetooth with your music

I think i might give the modulator ago and see how that plans out would rather spend money on performance mods than stereos but if all goes tits up then ill will be back to admit defeat!! Cheers for the advice though guys!!

Aftermarket stereo for the win. It's also easy to do yourself so that's a big plus.
