Has anyone else noticed that the forum has become slow recently. It can't be my internet connection as all other sites load fine. It might just me a problem with my PC but I thought I'd ask to see if there was a problem.

To be honest, I haven't noticed it being slow recently, so not sure why it is for you.

Is anyone else having a problem there?

Yeh the site dies every so often for me. I get that "This page cannot be displayed" if a page takes too long to load.

This is happening to me all the time now. It has just taken 20 mins to get from my homepage to post this here. Im sure it isnt my PC/internet as I have tried to log onto the site from other places. Maybe there are loads of people accessing it. I hope it speeds up a bit because im only able to view a couple of posts an hour.

I've had no problems and ever since you submitted the problem i've had the site on pretty much all day and all night... there has not once been any problem with the database speed or efficiency.

As DeKris said you might just be having issues with your PC. Is this happening on any other sites?

What Browser are you using to access the forum?

Keep me updated.

King Regards,

Scotty

You might get the odd 'page cannot be displayed' message if the site is particularly busy and the database is being overrun with queries. This site is now hosted on a UK server and it's very smokey at that.

There will always be periods of heavy network traffic though, so apologies but not much I can do.

If someone wants to pay me about £3000 a year I can put it onto a dedicated server.

Im having no problems with the site now, it must have been a glitch at my end with the ISP or something, or like you say hugh, loads of people using the site (which is understandable )

It's really strange, the site is running faster than it ever has for me. It's bound to be my lovely German ISP which I wont be able to understand if I speak to them
