Just a quick announcement to inform you all that we have now made the majority of the forums on the site free to use for everyone. This means that anyone who registers can now access and post in the following sections for free:

• Cleaning and Detailing

• All Off Topic Sections
• Suggestions & Problems

To answer a couple of questions:

Why are we doing this now?

When we first started operating a paywall some years ago it was the right decision for that time. For sometime, it has been clear that the number of people posting on the site has been in steady decline. This however, is not reflected in the number of people registering to become members, with several hundred new accounts registered this year alone. This indicates that there is genuine demand towards the site, and we hope that this move will encourage more people to start posting.

What if I've already paid to be a member?

We're still maintaining a "Premium" category of member which entitles you to post and read the exclusive members areas which consists of Members Area, Key Threads, Top Tips, Project Threads, How To Guides etc. These will still be reserved for Premium Members, along with exclusive discounts, of which the contents of the threads are hidden just for Premium Members. Whilst the areas open to standard members are less than before, we hope that most of you will appreciate why we've made the decision, and that the cost of making a small contribution towards the running cost of the site still represents good value.
