Hi guys, First off excellent forum. I live in the UK. I'm wondering if anyone can offer me some information. I'm looking to buy a Ford Fiesta ST 500. I take it 500 part because 500 was only made? I been looking on ebay and I've seen two differnt types. One has a red ford badge and one don't. I've noticed on the dash in red (Limited Edition 1/500). How do I spot a real one? Surely someone can buy parts and put them on normal ST? Anything I should look out for? Any help would be excellent. Thank you Matt

The ST500s have the same blue oval as the ST150 - the red ford badge is just an aftermarket gel overlay that a lot of people stick over the top purely for cosmetic reasons, it doesn't tell you what the car is either way

I guess it woudn't be too hard to make a black ST look like an ST500
A standard ST500 should have gloss black alloys, Ford side decal (instead of ST) and a bonnet decal, I think heated full leather seats too, carbon effect trim around the dash vents (and probably other stuff I'm not aware of)

Best to do a HPI check, and check the VIN number on the car with the V5 document to see that everything looks right

Isn't the radio different in an ST500? Could be wrong though

The ST500 come with:
Gloss black wheels and center caps
Red brake calipers
Silver bonnet and side decals
Sony radio
Carbon effect center console, gear surround and heater surrounds
Full heated leather seats

This was the standard spec for them. The buyer could also purchase the other extras on top of this.
Auto lights
Auto wipers
Bluetooth
Privacy glass
Powerfold mirrors
Parking sensors



The easiest way to tell if its a genuine st500 is via a reg checker or on the v5 as it will state this. All the 500's were made in 08 so there 08/58 plate cars. The badging didnt come with every car tho. When the car was sold by the dealer, they were meant to order the 500 badging. Which hardly any of them did. So lack of badging should put you off, they can be had on ebay sometimes but expect to pay £70 upwards for a full set
