Halfords etc sell the facia and IMO pioneer you just can't go wrong,I have had top end jvc units costing 5 to 600 pounds and Sony and the pioneer mid range just blows them all away and the interface is just so good

I'm currently using a JVC KW-XR810. Great double din unit with Bluetooth and can adjust the led colours to match the dash.

Well recommended.

I've got an autoleads fascia adapter in mine.

bump for Pioneer IMO.
I would imagine any aftermarket single/double din unit will require an adaptor, (plenty available).
Screen? Size? Sat Nav? Touch Screen? Power Output? Channels? Connectivity(Blutooth etc)? Adjustability?
For my search I picked out the key requirements I needed, then googled issues/problems with all the head units on my wish list until I settled on what seemed to be a universally issue free candidate.
My personal search required Bluetooth, PreOut for Sub, fine control of sound frequency, balance, dB etc..result Pioneer DEH-80PRS

Try and stay away from halfords they only sell the older head units, and will have the older software installed,go direct to the UK pioneer website then have a read of the ones in your budget and go from there, when I got mine I done a lot of research even tho I knew which one I was getting

If up your budget try and go for the avh range

What about this one ?

Ideally i want something like this but not sure if it would even fit/work. I have 0% knowledge on head units so the most information the better snigger !

Fascia adaptors + headunits are all measured in DIN size. Single DIN are your stereotypical radios, double DIN are the larger ones. As long as you get a Double DIN fascia for the Fiesta, and a Double DIN headunit, it will fit. You will also need Ford Quadlock to ISO wiring adapters.
