Hi all, had the clutch in the ST changed recently and ever since the car has been leaking what seems to be gearbox oil, Some people have said they've had similar due to the breather being fitted the wrong way. I've had a look in the engine bay but cant see how you would get to it to check without removing half of the car! What's the best way to check this is in the right way?

Interesting. On my old MK5 1.25 Fiesta, the breather was a black plastic square right on top of the gearbox. For access you'll probably have to remove at least the battery and air filter / intake piping to at least see enough.

Not sure if it's the same, but the one on the MK5 had an arrow which helped determine which way it should be (can't remember unfortunately), but it should be fairly obvious if the breather hole on the bottom of the plastic box is blocked.

Top of the gearbox, lower than the hydraulic pipes. From memory you'll have to remove what I said above (battery, battery tray, air filter piping, maybe the ECU).

Yes I know where the breather is, just not sure how to get to it really. Arrow on the breather should be facing the front of the car so I've read
