I would still get it serviced at 12 months or coz it helps when selling the car in the future etc....

Hiya,
Use to work at a big ford dealer and they do a small service after around 1000 miles. Tbh think all they do is a oil change. They keep it hush hush and dont tell customers about it try and save on the cost cuz as far as i remember its a free be. But obviously your 1st proper service at 12 months or 12,ooo miles will cost you. Hope this helps mate.

Its not just to help selling it Richie the warranty is voided if the car isnt serviced with 1 year of purchase. Some dealerships do this 1,000-1,500 check up but its no more than a visual check and a chance to raise any niggly points. The service is when fluids are changed. The trouble with it being free is Ford have told them they dont have to offer it anymore so a lot dont, but you lose nothing from asking! My dealership still do this check but they charge!!!

Thanks for the feedback all.

And the reason i only have 2800 miles on it iceman is because i also have
a SUZUKI GSXR600 K4 which i assure you is also a lot of fun to ride.

My only had 181 miles on it wen brought from dealer at 6 mths old

You will have to have it serviced as a proper 12 months service as you will void your warranty.
Take it to Rapid fit though as it costs half as much as a dealer service does and they use the same parts!!!!
It's very important to get the correct oil in.

Whats extremely important is that genuine Ford parts are used. When people say you can get your serviced anywhere and keep the warranty, the one thing you must make sure of is that genuine Ford parts are used otherwise if you go to claim a warranty item they'll say the correct parts werent used so that's why X, Y, Z is wrong.
