hi guys,
what do you think i,ve only had my nearly 2 week and my wife
has driven it a couple of times, thing now is she likes it that much
now she wants one (she wants to sell her 4 year old golf v5 for one)
must admit its not exciting to drive at all, about as inspiring as
watching paint dry.so what do you think the thought of 2 on
the drive. might get about £6800 for v5 private sale.
all thoughts welcome.

Hi
Know what your going through my other half is the same i had an rs and she wanted a ST fiesta. Got rid of the rs and ordered my ST only trouble is i never seen the rs cuz she was out all the time in it with her mates so i stand no chance of seeing the ST as she is mad about them even tried making her fiesta zetec look like one
She has already got insurance quotes on it and cant wait to show her mates it. Think you should do it the drive would look cool with 2 ST's just make sure she gets a different colour

Well... you wouldn't be the first couple on here to have two s. Heres a pic of Darkhaze's silver one, with Darkrose's blue one sitting behind in the garage.

So if you both want it then go for it!

Reminds me of "Basic Instinct" where Catherine Tramell drives a White Lotus Esprit and her girlfriend Roxy drives a black one... The two parked in the same driveway look really special... What colour is your ST iceman? You should get the best contrast possible for your wife's ST. Basically tell your wife she can have one but she does not get to choose the colour... ha ha

Afternoon folks

I've had my new ST foe 2 days now and i was wondering if anyone had any tips, things to look out for whilst i'm breaking it in.

I'm keeping the engine to about 3,000 revs for the first thousand miles.

Many thanks

No tips on running it mate but something I noticed that you may want to be careful with is that the seat belt "buckle" may bang against the door pillar and on my car it has slightly scratched the platic inside it. Maybe it's something that has changed and cannot occur any longer on the facelift cars but nevertheless something I would have been more careful with had I known at the beginning. Now I gently follow the buckle all the way back when I undo my belt.

Just my 2 cent...

Oh and one more thing... check your tires pressures and oil level... you never know if it was done it correctly when it left the showroom - they're all cowboys.

That will be hard to keep up. . I have always kept my new cars at 3000revs for the first 1000 miles. But the is different.... The engine has been designed to take quite a bit of stress, i mean Team RS are'nt idiots.

I asked this question to my Ford salesman the day i picked it up, he said :- "Just take it up and down the revs without going stupid for the first 500-1000 miles".
Well, i did exactly that. Up to 3000, and every now and again, 4000-5000,(When some chav in a Nova try's it on from the lights), and now it's got 5000+ miles on the clock no problems,'touch wood'.
