Hi everyone,

I collected my new ST on the 19th oct and im loving it. Had an MGZR before the ST and was a little concerned if the ST would handle as good as that. Well im pleased to say there are no regrets with the ST, and im loving the 2.0litre power it has. Its more than what i expected..then more. Ive only done 450 miles in it so far and finding it realy hard to keep it under 3000 revs..( to run her in )...got to admit, have been up to 4 an i can feel that it really wants to fly I got the frozen white colour and had to get the all over stripes as i think it finishes it off perfectly. Also got totally black glass in the rear windows and it looks better than what i thought it would. Have only seen 2 blue ST's in my area and 1 black one, i think im the only one with the white as ive never seen one prior to me buying it. Anyhow, just wanted to say hi to you all and hope your all having as much fun as what i am.

Cheers guys.

Mark.

I kept it to under 4,000rpm with the occasional blip over, but not too much for the first 1,000 miles

Generally below 3000 revs so far, with the occasional 4000 rev stint for overtaking.

Now done about 500 miles, so a couple more weeks before I make the magical 1000!!

I revved the test drive car pretty hard during the 1 hour test drive.

Gotta say it sounds great above 4000, but theres no added uummmphhh.

The engine seems to pull very evenly from 2000 all the way round to 6000 - A little dissapointing I thought - I was expecting a shove in the pants above 4000, but it just carries on as it did below!!

Still, its a cracking little car and Im really glad to see on this forum that no-one has had any major problems with theirs.

I had a brand new 2.0 TDCi Focus before and had to get rid of it when it was 1 year old as it had broken down on me 12 times in the year!!!! (bloody EGR valve that Ford were incapable of fixing ). I miss the 50+ MPG and unbeliveable torque, but I dont miss the embarrasment of sat in the high street with an engine that kept misfiring and spitting out lots of black smoke!

Andy
