I have a friend who has a Mk7 ST from new and seemingly always had an intermittent not starting fault from new, recently got worse, now with ford, in garage in bits and he is arguing his case with Ford UK to get it sorted. So far no idea whats wrong.
Are they any known faults on this ? Just will not start, he says been remapped (not sure I believe this) but if it has kind of sounds familiar with my MK6 issue---------new ECU !

Not sure about any known faults but is everything else working fine when he gets ijn? If it is then it's more likely to be an ECU issue rather than a dead battery etc. How old is it also? If it's still under warranty then it's Ford's problem to get it sorted and in any case it sounds like it's been a known problem from new that hasn't been resolved so their responsibility imo.

told me last night car done, he hasn't got it back yet but understands had a new ecu.

Fingers crossed it's sorted the problem out now.

I was in Ford today and it was there being revved up, sounded good, I know it has a rear system on it as well.

But still in such situations it is better to watch the car
