Hi, im having an issue with my ST 08, had the car on axle stands for a week whilst removing the trims for painting. After 7 days lowered the car and now when turning the ignition im only getting a single click noise.

The battery is good and the car bump starts fine but unable to jump start. Checked all fuses and no issues there either.

Starter motor. Mine did the same thing occasionally - been fine since I replaced it

not sure if you can with modern cars these days, but in the past didn't we used to get a big screw driver and a hammer and give the starter motor a few bangs then try ? Just thinking might help rule it out ?

It might have been me, but where the starter motor is makes it almost impossible to give it a whack.
