just for safety purposes, how do you lock the doors so that car jackers can't open your door from the outside, do you just lock them by pressing the door lever inwards which is what I do ? is that correct.
Obviously you should not double lock them when driving as if you crash badly then nobody could smash the window and reach for the inside lever to open the door and help you ?

Yeah, push the handle which is the same as locking it normally from the outside (but not deadlocked). I've gotten into the habit of doing it when I get in the car now, even before starting the engine.

It doesn't deadlock it, if it did you wouldn't be able to get out even by pulling the handle. I suppose a determined carjacker could still smash your window and pull the handle.

ok thanks, just checking I was doing it right, think you can program it to do this as well when you turn to ignition, not sure.

Fiesta doesn't support auto-locking when driving off unfortunately. I looked into this and apparently it can be enabled on foreign market cars, but requires a dealer to flash foreign firmware onto the GEM (which they won't do).

Yes - just push the handle in.
