I've had my new ST since tuesday and i've noticed that the thermometer is always saying that it's 20c outside and its the middle of the night in october!

Also the average speed is always telling me that im doing 29mph average even when i'm on the motorway doing 75!

I reset the trip meter to see if this helped but no luck

Has anyone else experianced this and knows what might fix it?

My exterior temperature is way high too.
You may find the average speed is correct as it will take into account the av. speed you were doing before you went on the m'way as well.
Try resetting it when you're doing 75 and see what it says.

Other than taking it back, I would first try disconnecting the battery.

Leave it disconnected for half an hour and re-connect.

Just an idea, but the simplest of ideas are the best.

usually disconnecting the battery clears any niggles that are still stored within the PCM so as advised above try that first

I reset my trip meter while I was on the motorway and that changed the ave speed and also the MPG, to a more normal reading!

The outside temp seems to be wildly inaccurate too, same as yours.

Hi all,

I've just sucessfully fitted an 'AUX-In' to my ST. However, now my outside temp is stuck at 20 degrees... Not sure if these 2 things are related?

Is disconnecting and re-connecting the battery still the best corse of action to take for now, or is something better suggested now, as this is an old topic...
