Hi guys and girls I'm getting my car tuned this year and have seen I can get the rev limiter removed at the same time. Has anybody else had this done and if so would they recommend it or should I just get the car remapped and leave it at that.

I wouldn't have it removed completely but you could raise it to about 7,000rpm or so (think mine is 7,250). You'd need to have cams to see any benefit in revving any higher than standard I'd think.

Okay thank you for the advice I havent got cams and won't be considering them for some time yet. Is it possible to have the type of limiter changed then as on the st it feels like a loss of power when it cuts in on my 206gti it bounced and out of the 2 styles I defo prefer the bounce style

Yes I suppose it is like that, it might just be the engine naturally running out of steam rather than a limiter, but I'm not sure.
