Hi all, 1st post on here as I've just picked the ST up and starting to track prep it.

The vehicle was advertised as having piper cams installed, immediately on start up I had my doubts as it was very smooth.

So I got the car home and whipped the rocker off. No signes of any performance stamps and the cam shows the quality of machining I would expect from factory.

The numbers indicated on the cams are as follows:
7132
RF1S7G-6A271-BG
U2W 5B

Now I can't seem to find any standard or performance parts with corresponding numbers.

Anybody shed any light?

I seem to remember the standard ones have the Ford logo cast into them as well but not sure. Unfortunately mine are in storage so can't check.

Check the width of the bit that contacts the cam follower by looking through the oil filler cap.
If they are the same width all around they'll be aftermarket, if they taper off past the part where the lobe is then they will probably be OEM.... if that makes sense?

Looks to me as if they're standard cams. I've also managed to find a photo of OEM cams with matching part numbers.
