Like many others over the years and apologies if this has been covered before. I've just had my Centre Hub caps stolen off my 2008 ST and wonder if there’s an alternative? The cheapest I found are £17.99 each and don't want to spend just over £70 for this to happen again. I quite fancy a refurb and maybe colour the alloys a gun metal gray and leave the centre caps off but would like to cover just the middle and leave the nuts exposed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I know mate, it’s ridiculous. It was parked right out side my house. Probably a young kid wannabe ST driver? I’ve done some searching on the web and found some people using coffee jar lids to cover the Center hole and leave the nuts exposed. Looks pretty good once painted etc, I’m just not that artistic. 😂 I’ll probably just refurbish the alloys a darker colour and buy some new nuts. Can’t seem to find caps that would fit as an alternative, you’d think after all the years of these getting robbed someone would of designed some?

You could always fit different wheels? I really like the ST wheels, apart from the caps not being the most secure design, both in terms of theft and for falling off which is what I think happened to a couple of mine.
I've seen the coffee jar lids used, it works but doesn't look great imo

Your probably right. I’ve purchased some used WRC OZ racing alloys off eBay, in need of a little refurb but think they would look great once done. Their very similar to the ST170 alloys. Just need to think of a colour. My ST comes in Colerado red, thinking maybe Gun Metal Grey. I love them in white but thinking a little to young for me? With regards to the Center caps, very bad design from Ford, I suppose no one would of anticipated they would become such hot property and such a problem, even after all these years?

Bad news!! You can’t seem to have anything nice these days without someone stealing or defacing them in one way or another. I really wanted to keep the car original as possible as it’s in such a good nick for its age and I’m in no way a boy racer, but there’s no way I’m spending over £70 for it to happen again.. like I mentioned earlier I’ve bought some second hand alloys that look the part. Probably keep the original alloys handy when I want to sell the car on.

I've been using my cheap BBS replicas with fake split rims had them in the garage for years and never used them until a few months back when I needed new tyres

They look the nuts mate!! Thinking of refurbishing mine in either gun metal grey or a bit lighter.
