My ford badge is a bit weathered now, could get a Gel overlay but they don't cover the outer silver area. There is a company that does a replacement badge entirely, custom colours, carbon background one looks good "Red5 Carbon" is the company on FB. Trouble is can't get the grill out the tabs mainly the left one just won't rise above the slot in the bumper, took an age to get the right one to budge. Don't really want to spend £60+ on a new grill but might have to, only way would be to break the tabs probably get some pincers down and cut them, simple job turns into a pain in the..............

Same, the first time I removed the grille to change the badge it was a nightmare with the tabs snagging. I think I slid a blunt knife underneath to help ping the tabs out, and eventually managed it without any damage. I might have also used something like gt86 spray to stop them binding but can't remember as it was so long ago. Ever since then it comes off really easily, I can remove it in about 10 seconds now, kind of push the grill inwards and slightly down I think and it pops right off, but I feel your pain. It might just need another try with patience and persistence, fingers crossed. The key might be to push down just a little rather than forcing it up?

yep I'll give it another try this weekend, looks like the badge is held at the back with some bendy clips, wonder if it's also glued as well ? The badge in carbon from Red5 Carbon is £36 so don't want to order it until get the grill off and badge off.

Pretty sure its glued as well but push hard from behind and it pops off, same method as for the rear one

tried again today, no way this will come out without breaking it, the more I pull the more the tab bends underneath the slot, in its fitted position the tab is a fraction below the slot, so the movement outward just bends it under more, clearly got warped over time, I've tried a flat blade and even a bike wheel spoke which has a hook at the end, ideal for getting under the tab just gets through the slot and turn it under the tab but just don't have the power with it, only way will be to break it off.

Bit of bad luck there, all I can suggest is try pushing the grill down and in rather than just pulling up but it sounds like it might just be stuck

yep not worth the hassle now, I'll look out for a new grill not cheap though.
